On the 18 to 20th of May, Vector took part in the II International Forum «Sea industry of Russia» related to development and improvement of shipbuilding, port infrastructure, navigation and implementation of new domestic and foreign technologies in production of marine equipment and building of ships of civil use.

The forum was held with the support and participation of the Maritime Collegium under the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, the Russian Technologies State Corporation, the Emergencies Ministry of Russia, the Russian Fishery Agency, United Shipbuilding Corporation, United Industrial Corporation, Rosatom State Corporation , OAO Gazprom, NK Rosneft, NK Lukoil, OAO RZD, industry associations and associations.
An open dialogue was organized at the forum between representatives of the shipbuilding and related industries, science, government and business. Among the issues discussed are the state support of shipbuilding, the development of the transport system of Russia, innovative projects, special leasing programs, modernization and reconstruction of enterprises.
The forum included a diversified exhibition exposition and a business program: a plenary session, scientific and practical conferences, presentations, seminars, and round tables.
At the opening ceremony of the forum, representatives of the marine industry of Russia made a welcoming speech: A.L. Balyberdin, Executive Secretary of the Maritime Collegium under the Government of the Russian Federation; AVPopov, Chairman of the Commission of the Council of the Federation for National Marine Policy; A.A. Kurasov, Deputy Director of the Department of Shipbuilding Industry and Marine Equipment of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation; F.M. Opening Ceremony of the II International Forum "Marine Industry of Russia"
One of the serious problems in the field of marine technology so far remains the accuracy of the results of trawl-acoustic surveys of salmon stocks, because The traditional echo sounders of the Norwegian company Simrad, traditionally used for this purpose, are practically useless for detecting and counting near-surface fish, which include all species of salmon (almost all fish leave from under the hull of the vessel to the side). In addition, the error of the fish counting due to the change in the catch efficiency of the trawl is added to the errors in the acoustic measurements. Taking into account the problems of salmon counting in the marine period of life, the scientists of the fish industry are facing (while monitoring aquatic bioresources), the Department of the shipbuilding industry and marine engineering supported the development work “Development of a sonar complex for monitoring the migration of valuable fish species based on side-scan sonar” (cipher "Echo-search-fan"). It was supposed to develop a scientific hydro-acoustic complex (NGAK) for the search and counting of valuable fish species, incl. salmon living in the surface layer. This development was carried out under the supervision of Concern Okepribor, JSC under a state contract with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation No. 9411.1007400.09.095 dated September 10, 2009. in the framework of the Federal target program “Development of civil marine equipment” for 2009-2016.
The development of the sonar complex was carried out in cooperation with three enterprises: JSC NIIP (Zhukovsky, Moscow Region) - development of a side-scan phase sonar, Vector Marine Electronics, Ltd (Taganrog, RO) - development of a control and indication device (PUI) and JSC NPP "Nelaks" (Taganrog, RO) - development of hydroacoustic antennas.
An experimental sample of NGAK was demonstrated at the II International Forum "Marine Industry of Russia" (advertising brochure attached). To familiarize themselves with the possibilities of NGAK Vector Marine Electronics, Ltd, the heads of the Federal Agency for Fishery were invited to the exhibition. To assess the implemented tactical and technical characteristics of NGAK, well-known in the fishing industry experts in field hydroacoustics from VNIRO, TINRO-Center, PINRO, Hyprobi Fleet and AtlantNIRO were invited. Many of the invited experts visited the booth.
All possible operating modes of PUG NGAK were demonstrated to visitors and specialists using the simulator of hydroacoustic signals developed by Vector Marine Electronics, Ltd.
The ISP, which is an operator station of a scientific sonar complex, is intended for:
- processing of hydroacoustic signals;
- processing information about the spatial position of the carrier vessel NGAK;
- selection of signals from fish;
- determine the coordinates of the fish and their counting (at distances up to 400 m);
- calculation of the distribution density of fish in depth and distance covered;
- display of the received information in various modes (including in the 3D mode);
- mapping the geographical position of the vessel on an electronic chart system;
- indication of proprietary information;
- indications of the recommended range of the FSBD depending on the pitching and speed of the vessel;
- archiving of hydroacoustic information.
Visitors to the Vector Marine Electronics, Ltd booth could familiarize themselves with the work of the NGAK experimental model and simulator of hydroacoustic signals, with patents and certificates of registration of programs obtained as part of this ROC, get advertising brochures, leave feedback and suggestions in the book reviews.
Vector Marine Electronics, Ltd - the only company participating in the forum from the Rostov region, whose activity is associated with the marine industry for over 20 years, and which purposefully works on the fishing industry.

Director-General Designer of Vector Marine Electronics, Ltd A.N. Dolgov took part in two round tables: "Perspective directions of civilian marine instrumentation" and "Readiness of the domestic shipbuilding industry to update and modernize the Russian fishing fleet", where he reported on the results of experimental design ROC "Echo-search-fan" and proposals for new promising developments in the interests of the Federal Agency for Fishery.
In preparation for the forum, experts and scientists from the Federal Agency for Fishery, representatives of enterprises-developers of marine hydroacoustic equipment were invited in advance. Due to this, it became possible to hold discussions with specialists of FGUP “VNIRO” (Moscow), FGUP “AtlantNIRO” (Kaliningrad), Institute of problems of ecology and evolution named after A.N. Severtsov RAN. Within 3 days, an active discussion of the results of the work took place at the stand. Generally, hydroacoustics experts in general gave a positive assessment of the main tactical-technical characteristics and operating modes of the equipment, expressed valuable comments and suggestions on the improvement of the equipment (given in Appendix 2). All sectoral hydroacoustics experts agreed on one thing - to complete such an important project for the industry, marine trials are required for real fishing targets.
